The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) did not want to release the full licensing documents on Pfizer's Covid vaccine for another 55 years (then later: not for another 75 years).
Under the Freedom of Information Act, a group of medical professionals, scientists and journalists (Public Health and Medical Professionals for Transparency/ PHMPT) filed a lawsuit against the FDA seeking the release of the vaccine licensing documents. The court ruled in favour of PHMPT and the Pfizer documents will now have to be made available to the public. Copies can be found on PHMPT's website.
