L'usage de #SCP est déprécié depuis longtemps par le projet #OpenSSH. OpenSSH 8.0 apporte une nouvelle rustine à une faiblesse du protocole et ses notes de version déconseillent son usage – cf. https://www.openssh.com/txt/release-8.0.

Les habitudes ayant la vie dure, SCP continue d'être massivement utilisé. M'essayant à l'usage de SFTP, je découvre alors le projet de remplacer le fonctionnement interne de SCP par... SFTP :) Cf. https://github.com/openssh/openssh-portable/pull/194

À suivre, donc.

Bon sinon, en vrai, ce n'est pas si difficile que ça de passer à SFTP. Mais les nombreux scripts utilisant SCP doivent apprécier l'effort !

OpenBSD needs help with their power bill

The OpenBSD project uses a lot of electricity for running the
development and build machines. A number of logistical reasons
prevents us from moving the machines to another location which might
offer space/power for free, so let's not allow the conversation to go
that way.

We are looking for a Canadian company who will take on our electrical
expenses -- on their books, rather than on our books. We would be
happiest to find someone who will do this on an annual recurring
basis.

If you use OpenBSD, or, more likely, OpenSSH, you have a hell of a lot to thank Theo for.
