Why howdy there #Checkin People! It’s Roddio again
It's National Panda Day, National Quilting Day, Driving Instructor Day, No Selfies Day, Lips Appreciation Day, Corndog Day, Artichoke Day, and the 6th day off Ramadan.

Today we’re going to talk about musicians.
I just watched Rick Beato interviewing George Benson. It was interesting to hear Mr Benson talk about musicians he admired and worked with over his 50 + year career, especially when expressing his awe in seeing his heroes perform. People like Joe Pass, Grant Green, Oscar Peterson, Charlie Parker, Wes Montgomery and John Coltrane. Even his open admiration of and drawing inspiration from Peter Frampton’s guitar playing.
Because of an invite from a friend, I was fortunate enough to see George Benson play with a trio in a small Jazz club in La Jolla CA. It was an all-instrumental set, which I found surprising because up to that point, I knew him primarily as a vocalist from popular radio play. I was blown away by his incredible mastery of the guitar and the tremendous performance of his band. I bought his album right afterwards.
