Re: Boston
Boston has 4 seasons, something that I was not used to in Chicago, where there are two seasons: winter and fixing-the-roads.
But:
- It's expen$ive.
- The streets were laid out by inebriated bovines.
- The pot holes, in the winter, have been known to consume entire Mini Coopers.
- Much housing is old, crude and expensive.
- Every two years or so, they fix the MBTA (nee MTA -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S7Jw_v3F_Q0) ‘once and for all’. Hah!
- If NASCAR were really serious about threatening the lives of their drivers, to create excitement, they’d race on Storrow drive.
- Boston is only at it’s best underground, in its 4 major tunnels (except in 2006!).
But, but:
- Harvard
- MIT
- Tufts
- Berklee College of Music
- Etc.
- Mass. General Hospital: (This place is so big and convoluted that they have security guards every 20 feet or so down hallways. One of their principal functions is to direct traffic in a constantly changing maze of departments, sub-departments, and new technology facilities.)
- Boston Children's Hospital
- Shriner's Children’s Hospital: (This is the place where the window washers wear superhero costumes -- https://www.wcvb.com/article/window-washers-dressed-as-superheroes-descend-outside-windows-of-shriners-childrens-hospital-in-boston/40908475)
- Etc.
- Biotech
- Etc.
- Legal Seafood
- Etc.
