Why howdy there #Checkin people! It's me again.
Today we're' going to talk about an American Hero, because today is Daisy Gaston Bates Day.

Daisy Bates (November 11, 1914 – November 4, 1999) was an American civil rights activist, publisher, journalist, and lecturer who played a leading role in the Little Rock Integration Crisis of 1957. Through her newspaper, Bates documented the battle to end segregation in Arkansas. Bates became president of The Arkansas Conference of Branches in 1952 at the age of 38. She remained active and was on the National Board of the NAACP until 1970. Due to her position in NAACP, Bates' personal life was threatened much of the time. For her amazing career in social activism, we celebrate her as an American hero.

It’s also International Mother Language Day. I find this hilarious, since I heard so many different languages growing up, but my mother’s languages were Spanish, Tagalog, and English. Would those be my Mother Tongues? A veces me confundo, naghalo-halo na kasi ang mga salita sa isip ko, i simplement no surten correctament...
