By the way, I just got my #PinePhone. If you're curious on the phone, #AskMeAnything!
Note: I'm not a pro in this, I'm just a developer with interest in having a phone that I fully own. (As opposed to being rented out.)
I intend to switch to the PinePhone if/when I get this to work:
* Maps that I can rely on. E.g. I'm travelling around and I can trust my phone to show me where I am and how to get out.
* A reliable email client. E.g. an email arrives and I'll see it next time I check my phone's notification screen. Or if I disable DND, I'll hear a sound right away.
* Some messengers for Matrix/Signal/Telegram. E.g. I'm going to see some friends and I want to read/write messages while on the way.
* Calling. E.g. I'm calling healthcare or a recruiter, and the call goes through without asking to call later from a computer/another phone.
The phone is very new to me and I'm still playing around with it. Ask me anything if you want :)
