Well, after talking about keeping stuff, today we can talk about losing stuff... Today is Official Lost and Found Day. Interestingly, the concept goes back as far as ancient Rome or Greece (probably even earlier).

I recently read a story where a wedding ring had been lost for decades, accidentally flushed, but turned up 80 years later in some field.
