No. 1 Hospitals in northern Israel ordered to prepare for 'thousands of casualties'
We have seen a series of escalations on the northern front in recent days, and this includes the murder of the brother-in-law of the leader of Hezbollah .Now, Israeli media are telling us that hospitals in the north are being ordered to prepare to receive large numbers of war casualties ...
The Israeli media reports that the IDF has ordered preparations to expand the fighting in the north (Lebanon).
Israel's Ministry of Health ordered hospitals to prepare to receive "thousands of casualties" in a short period of time.
Why issue such a notice now?
Is something important going to happen?
According to a prominent Israeli news source , one hospital was indeed instructed to prepare for a "desert island" situation...
Israel's health ministry has ordered hospitals in the north to be ready to receive thousands of wounded under unusual circumstances as fighting intensifies on Israel's border with Lebanon, according to a Kan report.
Ziv Hospital in Safed and the Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya have begun preparing for what has been described as a "desert island" situation, meaning days without equipment, medicine or food in the event of a massive Hezbollah attack.
Hospitals in Safed and Nahariya have also been instructed to prepare for the transfer of patients to other medical centres.In addition, the Ministry of Health has recommended increased vigilance and preparedness in all hospital systems and health insurance funds throughout the country.
To me, it certainly sounds like the Israeli authorities expect that a full-scale regional war could soon break out and that would have huge global implications.
