Job Numbers 210085
The pallet fork is in very poor condition. One stone is loose, the other missing. The fork end is bent, and the guard pin is loose and will have to be replaced. Also, the pallet strangely is discolored (blued) from way over heating. That's not something I'll try to polish off, but it's surprising.

Anyway, the stone is now replaced and the part is overall straightened out. On to the guard pin. I just eye-balled all this, including the depth of the pallet stones, so I am sure several iterations of adjustment will be required. This is a pain on an 18 size Elgin since the pallet and escape all sit under the main plate. The movement is not easy to assemble and disassemble over and over - very time consuming.
