Daniel Popper was born in South Africa in 1983. He is a multidisciplinary artist who has worked globally, created large scale figurative sculptures, that connects to both what makes us human, and our greater connection to the natural world around us.
He works with multiple materials, and is constantly experimenting and expanding in his approach to putting his sculptural work together, from wood, to fibre glass and more recently working with FGRC (Fibre Glass Reinforced Cement).
Daniel creates his work in both public and private spaces.
He has worked with some of the world’s biggest art, design and music festivals, including Afrikaburn in South Africa, Boom Festival in Portugal, Electric Daisy Carnival and Electric Forest in the USA, with private property developers and groups, and with public institutions. He has created permanent public works in Florida, and Croatia, and Joshua Tree in California, and currently has an ongoing exhibition of 5 works in the Morton Arboretum in Illinois, finishing in 2023.
