It is a species of shark catfish (family Pangasiidae) native to the rivers of Southeast Asia. Despite its name, it is not a shark. It is found in the Mekong basin as well as the Chao Phraya River, and is heavily cultivated for food there.

Pangasius fillet with tahine saus

Ingredients

4 pangasius fillet
2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Pangasius spices

2g koriander powder
2g salt
2g black pepper
2g cumin

Tahine saus

40g minced fresh parsley
30ml tahine
5ml lemon juice
2g salt
25ml water

Directions

Season the filet with the spices and leave them for 2 hours
Then heat the pan and put about 2 tablespoons vegetable oil and cook every side for 3 minutes.

Tahine saus

Chop the parsley, put them with the tahine, salt, lemon and 50ml cold water.
Stir them until they are mixed very well.

only that I exchanged koriander powder, black pepper and cumin with hot fish masala... wonder what it will taste like with the tahine sauce? never tried such sauce before...
