Frank's tried telling a bunch of rednecks a black guy did the rape/murder... but the rednecks weren't buying that. When the governor of Georgia commuted Frank's death sentence to life in prison those rednecks didn't buy that either. They broke into the jail and strung Frank up from a tree.
