https://mastodon.scot/@thisismyglasgow/113455266519741271 thisismyglasgow@mastodon.scot - Prosperity, Prudence, Industry, and Fortune on the facade of Mercantile Chambers on Bothwell Street in Glasgow. Built in 1897, this building was designed by James Salmon Junior, while the sculptures were created by Francis Derwent Wood. I've never been to sure why, but the figures become increasingly disrobed as you move from left to right across the building.
