People’s media viewing has really changed as streaming services become more popular. I find I binge a lot of shows from the early 2000s. When you binge you really notice changes between season one and the next season. For instance I’ve been watching missing. The first season was interesting as the main character got psychic powers from being struck by lightening. Part of the story was her family and an FBI team (black female partner, female crime tech, sensitive male boss) but she was a contractor. And there was a love triangle between her, a boyfriend and an FBI agent. Season 2 – new (black female) partner, male PoC(?) tech and new male boss, no family, finished FBI training and her powers are now somewhat controllable. Totally different vibe.
Have you noticed a big change in a show (streaming or other media) between one season and the next?
