Lüdersdorf: Vermisstes Känguru "Skippy" wieder eingefangen | NDR.de - Nachrichten - Mecklenburg-Vorpommern
And we have kangaroos in Germany as well!
The runaway kangaroo "Skippy" has been searched for since the beginning of the year. Now it has reappeared in Lüdersdorf, on the border with Schleswig-Holstein, and has been caught.
The owner of the kangaroo is Jens Kohlhaus from Sternberger Burg near Sternberg (Ludwigslust-Parchim district). He had already tried to recapture the animal several times, but this proved to be difficult. Skippy was last spotted at the end of March between the villages of Sülten and Sagsdorf.
Kangaroo captured 80 kilometers from its home"Skippy" was captured on Thursday by a man in Lüdersdorf (Northwest Mecklenburg district), the police have now announced. This is close to the border with Schleswig-Holstein and around 80 kilometers from his home enclosure. The kangaroo is now in the man's horse pen and the owner of the runaway has been informed. Whether the kangaroo has already been handed over to its owner and where it has been hanging around for more than six months remains unclear for the time being.
