More fun with Galactic all-sky HI data. Each frequency (velocity) channel is rendered on to a sphere, with the radius of the sphere determined by velocity. This is similar to the older version with the lower resolution data (https://youtu.be/DMgXAKS1yI8) but with two key changes. First, the minimum size of the sphere is no longer set to zero, so this is better described as a thick shell than a spherical volume. This means that clouds at low velocities appear about as large as ones at high velocities, making them much easier to see. Second, the mid-range velocity data (-100 < v < +100 km/s) has been clipped out, so this only shows the clouds outside of the disc of the Milky Way, except for a few parts of the highest-velocity material of the disc at the equator.
