It’s a travel day today (Saturday) as we're doing a Christmas visit at a better time of year. Fred will visit his parents frequently this summer while Bennie and I stay home. Ah home alone...

I was volunteering at the library the other day and one of the staff was saying their spouse was going away so they would be eating all the foods the spouse didn't enjoy—curry, sushi…foods with stronger flavours. When Fred goes away I give the place a good tidy so I can enjoy stuff staying where I put it for a bit. I used to rearrange furniture but I've gotten past that and just eat takeaway he doesn't like as much.

What kind of things do/did you do when you have a shared space to yourself?
