I always had music on growing up and, because it was often Top 40, I ended up learning a lot of lyrics…or what I thought were the lyrics😂 We listened to “The Bridge” on Sirius/XM on our last road trip. Oh man, do some of those lyrics age poorly. For instance, I couldn’t really figure out who daddy was in Bruce Springsteen’s I’m on Fire but neither option seems good. A lot of the songs are quite sad too. It was a relief to listen to Alt Nation with its bouncier beat.

Do you listen to lyrics when you listen to music? Do icky lyrics take away from your enjoyment of the song?

I try to keep things light but this is your thread so … there’s always an element of randomness. Grab your beverage preference (pixel or not) and enjoy the space.
