Welcome to #CheckIn for Wednesday, August 18

My week has come to an end again. It’s kind of nice for it to end on a Wednesday.

Many of us are resuming work schedules that my include more onsite requirements. I’ve worked some different schedules that include 10 hour shifts with 2 on , 1 off (Wednesday), 2 on and 2 off. I’ve also worked 8 hours schedules with rotating weekends and, for that last 20 years of working, 5 on , 2 off 7-3.

If I could, I would choose the 10 hour shift schedule that runs 7-5:00 with routine tasks like safety focused inspections, maintenance first thing in the morning, administrative meetings after 10 a.m. and responsive action after lunch. What kind of schedule would you choose? (35 – 40 hr work week, no OT, 30 minute lunch included)

I try to keep things light but this is your thread so … there’s always an element of randomness. Grab your beverage preference (pixel or not) and enjoy the space.
