Commentary: The healing hand of eternal forgiveness, compassion and redemption is placed with love upon ourselves, a sign that we are ready to stop projecting our inner demons “out there” upon the world. It appears when we acknowledge that the source of much of our unresolved issues stem from personal, ancestral and collective trauma.

The awakened shamanic eye of intuition above the healing hand enables us to experience our symptoms of addiction, shame, anxiety, depression, numbing, and self-destructive behavior as forms of somatic memory. Contrary to making us defective, all of our acting out has been a brilliant survival strategy to manage overwhelming pain that no longer serves us.

Below the healing hand is a symbol for flowing water, carrying us in the current of our heroic healing journey.
