Savais-tu, camarade, que le testament de Lénine ne se composait pas de trois, mais de quatre feuillets ?
En mai 1923, alors qu'il était en convalescence au manoir de Gorki, Lénine rencontra par hasard un curieux gastéropode. Il s'agissait d'Escargolio qui espérait atteindre Moscou avant ouverture des jeux olympiques.
Lénine sentit tout de suite en lui un don naturel pour gouverner et il rédigea une note indiquant qu'Escargolio était le plus apte à mener à bien la révolution. Mais l'année suivante après sa mort, lorsque son testament politique fût lu aux délégués du 13ème congrès du parti, la troïka soucieuse de conserver le pouvoir garda ce dernier document secret.
S'il eût été révélé, ce feuillet aurait à jamais changé la face du communisme.

In May 1923, while recuperating at Gorky Manor, Lenin came across a curious gastropod. That was Escargolio who hoped to reach Moscow before the opening of the Olympic Games.
Lenin immediately saw in him a natural gift for leading and he wrote a note indicating that Escargolio was the most suitable to carry out the revolution. But the following year after his death, when his political testament was read to the delegates of the 13th party congress, the troika anxious to hold onto power kept secret this last document.
Had it been revealed, this leaflet would have changed the face of communism forever.
