Remember 2008 or so, when they were giving loans to people with no down payment, and no payments for a year? There were some in our neighborhood; all of a sudden there were houses with brand news cars, huge TVS and other goodies loaded in. Then the people after a year would abandon the house, after trashing it, and then vandals would go in and strip copper wiring and other things to sell.
