We are on Day 2 of JD Vance reviving unfounded 19th Century anti-immigrant sentiments about the Irish, German, Italian, and Polish migrant waves. I often have to bring these up as sober reminders to friends/family that our families too were smeared by the exact same unfair and unfounded brush we smear today's non-white immigrants with. For the record apparently he did this too as he cast his nose down an poor people of "Appalachia" in Hillbilly Eligy and some other right wing commentators did too about Walz's ethnic background as justifying why he'd support supposedly "communist" government policies (it's mind-bendlingly stupid don't ask). Perhaps JD could push for a renaming of the GOP after a 19th century political party that pushed this stuff the hardest: The Know Nothing Party. #uspoli #Election2024
