Media had a theme today. First, there was this totally unexpected email from Medium;.then there was a recommended Rebecca Watson video about what it took for her to complete a Century ride. The theme was willpower - that is, the self-control to resist temptation to meet a stretch goal.

Fred's dealing with aging parents and it's reminded us to take care of our health. Recently we've decided to move away from one fast day a week to resetting my serving sizes and reducing snacking to maintain metabolic health - my snacks are mostly sweets. I'm lucky to be able to control our shopping to reduce tempting treats.

What do you do to reduce temptation when trying to meet a goal?
