So I'm finally catching up on The Witcher, and the Deathless Mother feeds on despair and so now it finally makes sense what the heck she's been up to.

So it's like:

Fringilla - Haha! I will trick you by offering you great power, and then feed on your despair when it all falls apart!

Elf queen - Haha! I will trick you by offering you your people's greatest hope, and then feed on your despair when it gets yanked away!

Yennifer - Ha haaa... Huh. There's ... uh ... nothing I can do to you that life and/or yourself hasn't already done. Well, then. Carry on, and thanks for all the yummy despair!
