The chair (Thompson) began by emphasizing the non-partisan task, and implored an "open mind" in support of the goal "to establish justice". Witnesses mostly Republican, mostly cooperative. Today will try to 'synthesize' facts.
Cheney: It is clear DJT was "personally and substantially involved in all of this". And....

"None of this is normal or lawful or acceptable in our society" But Lord StableGenius made a "conscious choice" to persevere despite reality and advice, and to "attempt to corrupt the DOJ"

Cheney Underscored the "rule of law" and emphasized that "without #accountability it will happen again.

And on to Zoe Lofgren, speaking of witnesses (Stone & Oath Keepers/Proud Boys etc) - some pleading guilty, many pleading the 5th.
And more witnesses on video speaking of efforts to influence TFG &/or Mark Meadows.

And... Kinzinger.. on bogus election fraud claims, "baseless, as judges repeatedly recognized" - in 62 cases.
