Talking about this delta variant, if you take UK, spain and portugal, this variant has been dominant for some weeks as has been the rise in active cases.
Yet the death rate is either flat or barely increasing, when you compare to an equivalent number of cases for previous waves (hence previous variants), those countries should already have something like 100x times more deaths.
That's confirming my impression that this delta variant seems to be both more contagious and less lethal, typically 100x less.
Of course I'm no expert or anything, but that hypothesis does seems to be plausible, so I wonder why all the fuss yet.
