Apparently, there was a WSJ Op-Ed where someone said they would wear shoes in someone else's house regardless of the house rules. There were comments about this being a BIPOC or Asian tradition but I’ve never visited anyone around here where there isn't a pile of outside shoes at the door. When I visit people I wear clean socks or carry slippers. But no matter, if I visited someone's home and they requested I take off my outside shoes I … would. I think I had asked about shoe rules before but I'm curious; if someone doesn't follow your house rules, what do you do?
