Armenia's new government, formed after the June election, has 15 ministerial positions, but only one woman minister - Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan. Despite seeming changes for women’s rights and despite women’s active involvement in civil society, their presence in top government positions remains scarce, even at a local level.
