"Large parts of #India's tech capital were #under #water on Monday after torrential rain uprooted trees, disrupted traffic and forced offices to order workers to work from home, sparking fears of further disruption a week later.
According to data compiled by the state-run India Meteorological Department (IMD), the city-district received 28.1 mm of rainfall on Sunday, 368% more than the average.
Since the beginning of the monsoon season, the city has received 141% more precipitation than the average.
Home to various international companies as well as home-grown start-ups, #Bengaluru has established itself as an important business hub in the southern region of the country.
