Last weekly update report from the #NCC in #Ottawa for #Gatineau #Park before the holidays.

While I was in downtown #Ottawa today I wandered past the #NCC offices. The NCC is what makes Ottawa a really a special place to live, as they run much of what adds so much to life here, like Gatineau Park, the greenbelt, much of the bike path network and the canal skating!

New rules for the #NCC #bike paths in #Ottawa: no electric kick scooters! Anyone listening?

This is a #sculpture that the #NCC has rented until 2024, called When The Rubber Meets the Road by Canadian artist Gerald Beaulieu. Yep it is a dead #crow made out of #tires. The photo of the sign explains what this is supposed to be about. I did a video walk around to show the details on a nice sunny day here in #Ottawa. This is a new seating area near LeBreton Flats in #Ottawa, built by the #NCC. They call it a "parklet", or a small park. I did a short walk around #video.

Some scenes of the clean-up from the 21 May 2022 storm on the #Ottawa #NCC Eastern Greenbelt Pathway. As I suspected they would, the NCC has hired a #logging company to take out the usable commercial timber and clean things up.
