Here in #Ottawa work continues very slowly on the light #rail system. In the last few days we got a bench, some recycling facilities and a #bike pathway preped for paving. We may actually get to use this stuff this summer.

Scenes from a #bike trip today in #Ottawa. This is a brand new pedestrian and biking #bridge that was built 19 months ago and still not open for use. I have no idea why not, still awaiting an official explanation from #OCTranspo.

Since this #biking and pedestrian #bridge from Vincent Massey Park to Carleton University was built 19 months ago and seems to be complete, you would think it would be open for use by now, but you would be wrong! I have asked the authority #OCTranspo when we can expect to use it, so I will let everyone know what I hear.

People here who like #railways might find this little #video of interest. This is an official video from #OCTranspo, our transit organization, and is an update on how the light #rail #railway construction is coming along. It is almost all just #drone video and nice music, no narration at all, which I think is good, as the photos speak for themselves. This line serves our end of #Ottawa, the south part and is supposed to be open in September, only 13 months behind schedule.

One thing we can do here is build walls! This is part of the new light #rail line in the south of #Ottawa, or will be if it ever gets completed. Just announced today that it is now a whole year behind schedule.
