The main problem in Africa z is the lack of access to low cost alternative to firewood. You can't stop deforestation if people can't cook their food. Access to energy is the key to fight deforestation.
Neither the government, not international community has any interest in facing this challenge and help those in need to find an alternative to cutting trees.
