I don't think it can be overstated how important it is to see prominent Republicans coming out in support of Kamala Harris (or at least in opposition to Trump). There are likely millions of marginal Trump voters of the "hold your nose" variety for whom this creates a permission structure to cross over, if only this one time. It is useful to continue making the case that, whatever policy disagreements you may have with the Dems, they are currently the best option for the continuance of democracy.
