... had to give an honorary speech twice at the presentation of the book "Steinmühle: Stille - Frieden - Kunst" (Stone Mill: Silence - Peace - Art) in the Blue Hall of Steinmühle, which was published on the occasion of Peter's 80th birthday. The book has 288 pages (only the paper cost $8,500), Katharina et moi worked a lot on all the various texts.
Ha! you can only see Katharina and Andrea from behind... and, it's all Katharina's instruments, built by Beat Weyeneth, except the cello, which was played by Davide Zavatti.
The blue thick-glass-windows were created by Théo Kerg 1985 when he stayed in Steinmühle for one week. It was such wonderful experience to work with such great artist. Already in Basel he had come up with the name Salle Bleue. But, the photo cannot give an impression of the light-power of these 8 blue windows...

Back in the eighties Peter and I could work together with Théo Kerg, installing the blue Dickglasfenster (thick glass windows) in the south wall of Steinmühle... it was an exciting week with a lot of work and a strict Théo. As a gift he gave me these two painting which are now in Andrea's living room... the third one I gave to Katharina.

Both paintings are impressions of the sea which Théo Kerg loved a lot.

I already posted one of his paintings years ago...
