Acro yoga at Yoga District in Washington DC - quite disappointing

I was in Washington recently for business and decided to visit the local acro community, so I came to a Yoga District class in the 14th Street Studio, lead by Elise and Lili. About 20 people were there which I thought was impressive.

The slot was described as "AcroYoga Foundations (All Levels)" and there were clearly non-beginners in the group, but the entire event was dedicated to entrances to bird, folded leaf and similar, with absolutely no programme for anyone with more than a week or two of acro experience. They still felt it reasonable to charge the $12 though, regardless of the fact that I hadn't so much as broken a sweat, let alone had the opportunity to do anything remotely interesting.

When I asked about it, Elise said that it was difficult for them to organise multiple levels at the same time, which I thought was lame as other places (including my club) handle this without a hitch. It was a nice acro-101 kind of class, but useless for anyone else. It's not really about the money as it is about the disappointment, but I should have been prepared to not pay for the class. I certainly wouldn't recommend it or do it again.
