#askdiaspora: Is there a handy way to do full-text search of content on Diaspora?

This is an area in which G+ has actually gotten pretty good at, and it drives much of my own content discovery there (Streams and Circles are all but useless, as I'd anticipated).

I know that #hashtags can be searched, but if, say, I wanted to look for an author's name (specific example: Joseph A. Tainter, with or without his middle name), options seem limited.
