WGT – Friday

We started our third day in Leipzig with some coffee on the pension’s balcony and then paid a short visit into the city of Leipzig to see an exhibition of Mexican Artists called “otherness”. It was quite fascinating to see the different approaches to the topic and the great variety of techniques. Then we moved on to the main station, where we enjoyed lingering through “Dimensions – Catrinas, Skulls, Alebrijes and landscapes of Mexico”. After the crowded halls we decided to head for some space and quietness – and we found it at the Südfriedhof cemetery. It is one of my favourite places as it is more like a romantic park with lots of beautiful Rhododendron-bushes, old trees, little hideaways and even beehives. Last year we saw a fox, but this time we were just accompanied by singing birds and squirrels. Of course we had to take a self-timed picture of us – but we like to keep the dignity of the place, so we just got on for a walk and took a look at “the grief of abandoned”, another photographic exhibition of a nice German photographer.

Back at the Agra area we met with some of our friends and we spent the evening at the black market (the fair for goth clothes and accessories), followed by some more mead-drinking and dancing at the Treffen-Cafe. With our heads full of wonderful impressions we called it the night :)
