A bit of unique orchestral music here - a harmonica orchestra!

Florentiner March - by Lindqvists Harmonika Orkester; Fučík

This was posted on Mastodon, along with a holiday wish (US Thanksgiving) :

"A harmonica orchestra! cheery music for thanksgiving... Always time for a 78rpm record".

Being thankful for the post - and making/surviving holiday dinner - I copied a description for a friend in Germany who loves harmonica and unusual music, and that's this, in case anyone can't see it, &/or to entice, a description:

The theme of the Florentiner march is a conversation - the lighter tones representing a Florentine lady talking non-stop, with her German companion just barely managing to sneak in a "ja-wohl" now and then (in darker tones).

In Italy, people from Florence (and women in particular) are known not to be particularly talkative - but next to the average German, even a reserved Italian would sound like the lady in this march!

All with harmonica, of course. Note: these are not my descriptions or lyrics, so.... no offense German/Italian talkers! :))

This is a vintage (78 rpm) recording of a vintage song, via the Internet Archive (no GAFAM!) ;)
This most likely will not show the player "here", but the archive page (the link) has an in-page player with this song cued up, + more.

Enjoy!

Hey everyone, I’m #newhere. I’m a former computer programmer trying to study for Cisco's #ccent so I can get back into the field, I feel like I'm dying without it.

A budding #esperantisto studying #esperanto. Actually I'm doing this to get over failing several years of French in High School back in the 70s!

I used to #sketch, #draw and part of me would like to get into #cartooning. I'm lousy at the #guitar and #harmonica.

Kids grown now. I miss living in Baton Rouge, LA. Why am I finding that writing this is so frickin' #depressive?
