I know many people try to avoid flares but I adore it. I regularly point my camera at sunlight and hope for the most obnoxious lens flare. I've never owned a lens hood until one came with the Olympus G.Zuiko Auto-W 28mm f/3.5 I purchased recently. Lots of people recommend to use the hood with this lens but I very much prefer to see whether the flare performs to my liking first.
