Last Sunday, I went to visit Great Salt Lake State Park to see the mirabilite mounds and to explore the shoreline. The mirabilite mounds were really neat, especially since it is the only time in recorded history that they have appeared in the Great Salt Lake. Usually they are only found in the Arctic/Antarctic areas, and on Mars.

On Friday, I went on a short hike to Primrose Overlook, starting at the Summit Trailhead in American Fork Canyon in Utah. Since snow was forecasted for the weekend, I didn't want to miss my chance at exploring this trail this year. It was a pretty intense workout, with some ice and snow on the steeper, shaded parts of the trail. The view at the top was definitely worth the effort though.

In a lot of the pictures, the sun was in the way, so I had to edit them quite a bit. But, to be honest, the pictures still don't do the place justice.
