Waiting, trolling

A few years ago we were exploring the area around Prenteg in North Wales, UK. We were walking over the hills and a bit of a weather front came in (as it is wont to do in North Wales). I used to shoot landscapes for pleasure back then, and I captured this rock in the sunshine as the dark clouds rolled in.

It was only later when I was showing this photo that people told me they fancied that they could see the head of a stone troll emerging form the ground, facing left with a pointed head/hat and ear. It has either a big nose or a smile, depending on how you view it.

Once I'd seen it I couldn't unsee it. Do you see the troll's head? 😀
