We were alerted by a boat in distress in #Greek waters off #Samos, carrying 36 people, incl. 12 children. The boat is adrift and the people reported a vessel of the @HCoastGuard driving into their direction. The group is calling for help and wants to claim asylum!

Today our teams in #Samos #Greece provided first aid to 42 people in distress who arrived on the island; amongst them 3 pregnant women in need of immediate ambulance transfer to the hospital. All others were transferred to the closed control access centre in Zervou.
