Happy International Men's Day! A day to promote positive male role models and have positive conversation about #men, manhood and masculinity; to focus on men’s health and wellbeing; and to improve #gender relations and promote gender equality.

The theme for 2023 is: Zero Male #Suicide. About 75% of suicides (in the UK) are men, and it is the biggest killer of men under 45.

I've noticed the resurgence of the expression "women and children" this year, usually regarding war and refugees. I hate that phrase, because it often implicitly says that men's lives are worth less.
