Should you be seeing my "Archive Tag" comments to old Joindiaspora posts and wish to continue old discussions ...

If you find the old discussion interesting and want to continue it, please be my guest.

That's a capability I'm specifically interested in supporting.

You can either comment at the original post or (while Joindiaspora remains up, through 4 March 2022) re-share it. Or hunt down the Archive.Today copy and use that as the basis of a new post, I suppose. (A.T. preserves comments, Archive.Org, which I'm also using for archival, does not).)

(I believe discussions from re-shares will still be possible after the shutdown. Discussion on the original post will NOT federate beyond the instance on which you're having that discussion, to the best of my knowledge.)

I'm still working out how to best arrange for all of this. Time however runs short.

Eventually I'll curate the ArchiveIndex posts to the more interesting discussions and link those under my #ArchiveIndex thread and the Post Index / Archive thread.

But yeah, I'm archiving specifically to preserve and continue discussions where possible.

Otherewise ... I've started making that a link to a brief explanation on my Data Migration Tips & Questions thread, as "Archive tag."

I'd like to avoid explaining myself on what's happening. I have my doubts as to success of that.
