Can I make myself sit down and write an outline for this new short-story idea? I have a vague idea for the story, more specifically how it ends, and much of the world creation is done because it's set in my Chronicles of Madarre world. The main character is someone from The Ambitions of Kreltahk (book 1 in the series). Or... maybe a close relative.

But a) I'm a pantser and rarely stick to my attempts at outlines, and b) I really don't know what I want to do with this story. I'll play "what if, and then what if..." a bit, but my exhausted brain ("stressful" doesn't begin to describe my day job) doesn't want to cooperate with creative efforts these days.
