This is my town. Timaru is seen as boring and a backward hick town where no one wants to live.
Its so boring that any weird display or show will get people coming for a look as anything is better then nothing so this is some light festival.
But and theres always a but. Boring is good to be honest I have visited many large cities and while they are fun to visit, to be able to walk around with out crowds or threats of violence no homeless or drug use on the streets (generally) is pretty good.
I like boring I like quiet and I like hick towns because they are just what they are.
