10pm and on. Below the fir, physically, mentally. Counting the stars that peek through the needles. And the windows that still are lit. A kind manifestation of night, and a deep calm gratitude for the moment, the day.

Close to 10am. A white sky, a pale sun. Most of today flooded with the various sounds and tones that meld into one dense, comforting noise so close to the sea. Touching base at the lighthouse. Wondering how residing up there might feel like, always between the waves and the coastal forests, always with both and always keeping a reasonable distance.

11am and going. Preparations done. Clothes changed. Lighting the candles again. Waiting, welcoming.

Seltsame Nachterfahrungen. Geisterhaft, ohne zu ängstigen. Traumfilme, vermutlich noch außerhalb des Schlafes.

10pm, out late in a way. Watching virtual hourglasses repeatedly turn over as machines keep pondering. Meanwhile, half a dozens of flats lightened up and fell back into nightly dark, across the backyards and the street. Different perceptions of time, different perceptions of speed, and yet sometimes all to be noticed is a temporary slowness in things. Once in a while we run, once in a while we sit down along the way. And sometimes we sleep just below the clouds...

This is my town. Timaru is seen as boring and a backward hick town where no one wants to live.
Its so boring that any weird display or show will get people coming for a look as anything is better then nothing so this is some light festival.
But and theres always a but. Boring is good to be honest I have visited many large cities and while they are fun to visit, to be able to walk around with out crowds or threats of violence no homeless or drug use on the streets (generally) is pretty good.
I like boring I like quiet and I like hick towns because they are just what they are.
A quotation from King, Martin Luther, Jr.
True peace is not merely the absence of tension; it is the presence of justice.

Most alarmingly (and as explained in this 2012 Atlantic article, there's compelling evidence that a parasite often found in cat feces can subtly change people's personalities over time, increasing rates of neuroticism, schizophrenia, and perhaps even suicide.
In other words, research is telling us that cats are selfish, unfeeling, environmentally devastating creatures. If you need to convince someone not to get a cat, here's the research you need to show them.
What research says about cats: they're selfish, unfeeling, environmentally harmful creatures
P.S.:
Now, don't get me wrong. I'm convinced that few people I know will have the same admiration as I have for #felines. Allow me to explain.
I was for several years a dedicated practitioner of Okinawa Go-Ju Ryu Karate Do. Ryu means style or school. Go-Ju means literaly hard-soft (or strong-quiet as I prefer to think) and the animal to imitate is the tiger. Let me emphasize: The #strong, #quiet, #solitary, #free and #wild #tiger.
So, I feel myself authorized to tell you that #cats should not be taken as #house #pets. :-)
