Welcome to #checkin for Tuesday, November 1st, 2022!

Good afternoon/evening/morning everyone and welcome to today's #checkin. As I live in a Catholic region, I have a public holiday today, and it's also the start of the new month. For the Catholics, it's All Saints' Day and people usually go to the cemetery and "visit" their dead relatives. And for the Mexicans, it's tomorrow also Dia de Los Muertos. Even though I am Catholic, I am not really observing these traditions or the concepts. I try to remember lost relatives and lost pets how they were during their life. I don't need to have a grave. The traditions here in Germany are also changing, and more and more people chose to be cremated instead of buried.
I like the more positive approach of the Mexican Dia de Los Muertos, celebrating instead of focusing so much on the death itself.

What's your way to remember lost pets or relatives? Are you more celebrating life or mourning the death?
