Hello, hello! Good morning, good afternoon, good evening! Well, because I'm posting in the evening of Dec 21 PST for Thursday Dec 22, it's still Winter Solstice for me. 😆 So, happy Winter Solstice or happy day after the Winter Solstice!

I've been meaning to celebrate this day for the last few years but somehow things didn't work out. This year I thought planning it in advance and getting a few people interested in joining me would ensure a lovely time celebrating the beginning of a new cycle. Not so, a combination of totally unexpected chaos creating events kiboshed what was planned. But hey, the solstice is the solstice so, candles are lit together with other soft lights on this shortest, darkest day (in the northern hemisphere). A little music and then a couple of friends happened to drop by for a few laughs. So, despite the stormy cold and canceled plans, it is a wonderful thing to celebrate the return of the sun.
